Matchpoint Tennis Academy members are welcome to take part in competitive games throughout the year, either within the club or as part of a team representing Matchpoint at various other tennis venues across Surrey and the South East.

As a member you'll be able to test your match play skills, meet new players and perhaps develop a few friendly rivalries.

Below is a list of fun competitions that we encourage our members to take part in:

Matchpoint Annual Club Tournament

Matchpoint hold an annual club tournament during the summer months with ‘finals’ day held in early September, followed by a social event (usually a family BBQ). The tournament comprises 10 adult events:

  • Men’s Singles
  • Men’s Doubles
  • Ladies Singles
  • Ladies Doubles
  • Mixed Doubles
  • Men’s 60 & Over Singles
  • Men’s 60 & Over Doubles
  • Ladies 60 & Over Singles
  • Ladies 60 & Over Doubles
  • Over 60s Mixed Doubles
  • Family Tournaments

    Parents and Children playing as a team but also against one another!
  • Rusty Rackets

    No explanation required!
  • American Tournaments

    A round-robin mixed doubles competition in which players are initially paired at random. Timed rounds are played on a rotational basis. Anyone can play in an American tournament irrespective of their playing standard.
